Athletics

Physical fitness is a foundational pillar of the Cornell NROTC experience as it breeds both mental and physical strengths critical to developing future Officers. While at Cornell NROTC, you will be given the opportunity to surpass your limits while participating in Brigade and Battalion physical training sessions, MEC (military excellence competition) events, and beyond.

Battalion Physical Training (PT)

Every Tuesday, Navy and Marine Option midshipmen attend a unit PT session at 0600. Additionally, every Thursday, Marine Option midshipmen attend an additional 0600 PT session.

Our students come from all different levels of physical fitness. No matter how much experience you have, our goal is to help you push your limits and come out stronger physically and mentally!

Student Athletes

The pursuit of physical fitness extends beyond the walls of Barton Hall, as many of our MIDN participate at every level of collegiate athletics, ranging from competing on the national stage at the Division 1 varsity level to the club and intramural levels hosted by Cornell University. We encourage that all of our MIDN take advantage of the opportunity to compete at any level of athletics available, as we believe this enhances their preparedness to one day lead the men and women of the Armed Forces as Navy and Marine Corps Officers.
