Current Cornell Students

Information for prospective current Cornell students:

If you’re a current Cornell freshman or sophomore contemplating a journey in the naval service, you’ve come to the right place. We have had numerous students join NROTC after starting their time at Cornell, pick up an NROTC Scholarship (see benefits), and commission as an officer in the US Navy or Marine Corps.

The Invictus Battalion invites you to explore the rewarding opportunities and experiences that our program offers. We appreciate your dedication to academia, but we also understand the need for a balanced student life. In fact, you may have seen some of our midshipmen around on campus, with many midshipmen actively participating in and taking on leadership roles in various on-campus activities including athletics, Greek life, religious organizations, project teams, and research initiatives.

If you would like to get a more hands-on perspective of life as a Cornell NROTC midshipmen, you can join us in Physical Training (PT), Drill and Leadership Labs, receive a tour of our unit, or we can set up a time for you to get any questions answered by our current students or Active Duty Staff members.

The Navy ROTC scholarship program provides financial relief and practical experience that could significantly shape your future, opening the doors to a commission as an officer in the United States Navy or Marine Corps. Engage with us to understand how you can dovetail your current studies with the disciplined, character-building, and leadership-enhancing environment of Navy ROTC.

Begin your journey towards naval leadership today; the Invictus Battalion is ready to welcome you aboard. Please contact us if you would like to apply or are interested in learning more, and take a look at our “Prospective Students” page for more information on joining.
